$500,000 Donation Comes From Living A Soulful Purpose                    

Raleigh, NC.   Taylor Swift, this year’s biggest Grammy Award winner (including “Album of The Year”) and new Cover Girl, is apparently laughing all the way to the bank as she is living her dream.  In fact, she is earning such a good living through her soulful purpose that MTV.com just announced she is donating $500,000 for Nashville Flood Relief.

Blake Mycoskie, founder of TOMS (“shoes for tomorrow”), developed a passion for providing shoes for the world’s children when he witnessed how a simple pair of shoes can change a child’s life.  He gives one pair of shoes to a needy child each time he sells one pair of shoes.  And since the brand has taken off, he’s selling a LOT of shoes!  He is not only living his dream through his soulful purpose, but projects sales to double this year which will allow him to move another 400,000 pairs of shoes.

Locally, Chase Jones is living his dream at the University of North Carolina every time he steps onto the baseball diamond.  After being diagnosed with brain cancer in 2006 Jones birthed his soulful purpose, “BaseBald for the Cure.”  For every $100 raised, one of the Tarheels baseball players has to have his head shaved.
